More About Me

My wife and I share a passion for traveling, video, and photography. Over the past few decades we visited many fascinating places, and I invite you to check out a selection of photos from these trips and montages compiled from our home movies. I also have a range of other interests, including art (especially classical music and painting), history, literature, politics, and sports. I have a particular preference for music of the 17th and early 18th centuries (Bach above all others), which is reflected to some extent in my taste in painting as well (Dutch and Spanish masters such as Vermeer, Rembrandt, and Velazquez are among my favorites). These preferences are not exclusive, of course, and I enjoy the works of artists from other periods as well.

My interest in history, literature, and politics manifests itself mainly through reading. Sports, on the other hand, bring out a very different part of my personality. Having grown up in Europe (I was born and raised in Serbia), I have learned to take soccer very seriously. I still watch the UEFA Champions League religiously, although the team that I rooted for in my youth (Red Star Belgrade) rarely appears on the international stage these days. In addition to soccer, I also follow hockey (the San Jose Sharks), basketball (the Golden State Warriors), tennis, and the San Francisco 49ers.
